Abstract
Grassroot organizing has long been used to create disruption and tension between the oppressor and the oppressed. There have been various approaches to mobilizing communities; including fundraising, canvassing, GOTV, social media, community information sessions and more. But what approaches have transformed not only the decision making and tangible changes, but also questioned and disrupted the status quo and everyday ’normal’? This zine gives an introduction to a different and more decolonial approach to political organizing. It uses a feminist approach to break down the dynamics of power, race, and gender, critical reflexivity, and the politics of care. It offers questions that create space for more critical reflection and dialogue. Finally, this zine gives an introduction to one organization (Dallas Organizing Cooperative) who is actively incorporating a feminist approach to political organizing in Dallas, Texas.
