Abstract
This pamphlet introduces the website, rootling.place. Pigs rootle to eat, play, and know. As omnivorous animals, they use their snouts to disturb the soil, uncover foods and understand their environment and other pigs. Rootling.place is an online experiment to represent, perform, and conceptualise rootling as a research method of doing and learning. Accompanying this introduction in the zine are and three autoethnographic stories that exemplify rootling as research.
