Abstract

The Seabed Mining Activity and Coloring Book is meant as a way to wonder at the beauty of marine lifeworlds playfully engage with a major issue facing our collective commons of the deep sea, seabed mining. As a precursor to the Marine Political Ecology Collective manifesto, our first collaborative zine explores how the ocean is known and understood, offers unique lino cut prints of the seabed and mining equipment, introduces fun facts about Yeti Crabs, and invites the reader to become a co-conspiritor in octopus resistance.
