Abstract
The issue focuses on a particular set of beings inhabiting the city, temporally referred to as “insignificant.” Insignificant others are those beings we kill in our daily lives, neither because we take advantage of their remains nor because we are afraid of them but just because we do not pay attention to or care about their existence. This ontology has been framed by a series of disregard-based encounters between humans and nonhuman animals. This issue was curated by Christoper Kelty and Catherine Oliver.
